"Really? Ripping the tag off a mattress?" Faye's eyes widened in surprise. "Anyways...I'm not entirely sure what creatures we'll meet. But I heard that they..." She fell silent. "I don't know. I just heard they had scary creatures here." She shivered, looking around the place just in case some form of monster was hiding behind a bush.

Ebin laughed, "What like the monster under the bed? Oh come on Faye I doubt there is anything other then a unicorn in here!" He he turned around and squinted, looking for something interesting. "You wanna go see if there is any creatures? That would be so wicked!" Ebin doubted they would run into anything, but he was still a little kid inside and exploring would be neat!

"Fine...but." She sighed. "All right but you've got your wand right?" She asked nervously, still looking around in fear. However she secretely wished that they could meet a unicorn but nothing else. Tightening her robes around her she bravely but slowly walked deeper into the forest.

Ebin lazily took out his wand with a sigh, "Of course I have my wand. But I doubt we will meet anything." He followed Faye deeper into the forest until the trees became thick. Ebin stopped and stared at one point off in the distance. He held out his arm so Faye would know to stop, "Look." He whispered, "You see that movement?" Ebin pointed as a wide grin stread across his face, "Come on!" Ebin jumped over a patch of tall rots and began running in the direction of the rustling leaves.

Before Faye could stop him, Ebin was running off into the direction of the rustling leaves. Swearing rather loudly and uncharmingly she ran after him. "Ebin!" She hissed, flicking leaves and branches out of the way. They were making so much noise that she was sure that whoever or whatever creature/being was out there, it would probably hear them...shivering at the thought, she halted to a stop at a clearing. Confused, she looked around. From worrying too much she had lost track of where she was going and she had lost sight of Ebin. Sh!t...what am I going to do? she cursed, looking around her. She couldn't exactly see anything for it had gone considerably dark and the area she was in was very dense. "Ebin?" She quavered, daring to call out to him. Searching her pockets she looked for her wand. Finding her silvery cool wand she produced it from her pocket, rather aggressively. OK...think... but no thought came to her. Her mind was blank and not even a single spell came to her head.

Ebin had continued to run. His adrenaline pumping so loudly in his ears he heard none of what Faye had said. He beamed as he scaled over rots and stumps. Jumping and leaping. After a good distance he came whirled around and tucked himself behind a tree. His was a dozen meters behind whatever it was. He looked up expecting to see Faye. Ebin's smile slid from his face. He scanned the horizon but nothing. He concentrated but he could not hear anything from Faye. He slowly turned and peered from his covering. Whatever was moving was coming toward him. Briefly forgetting Faye Ebin jumped from in back of the tree and walked up to the creature, it was a centaur. "Woah!" Ebin whispered in a shock. A half man half stag with Ebin cameing roughly to his shoulders. Ebin's smile returned as he held up a head and naively held out his hand, "Hola, I'm Ebin. I just came to Hogwarts."
After a long silence, the centaur seemed to be consulting either taking Ebin's offer of friendship or beaming him in the heart with one of his arrows, there was a large quiver on his back and a crossbow by his side.
Ebin remained standing there smiled up at the centaur, determined this would not fail.
The centaur reared up a bit and then patted the ground. "You are unwelcome here in the forest. Students are not a loud by your master's standards and we do not think it wise either." The centaur spoke down on Ebin with such wiseness it make Ebin's eyes spark. The centaur examined the out stretched hand and then took it in a tight grasp. "I hope that our path's do not cross again." The centaur's eyes went up to the heavens, "The stars have spoken."
Ebin, pleased that he had met the amazing creature, followed the centaur's gaze. "Sir, not to be rude, but it is day, how do know what is going on with the stars?" He asked in a puzzled tone, thirsting for more wisdom from the animal.
The centaur appeared to be slightly curious of the human boy because he seemed to paw himself into a comfortable position, "Humans lack the intellect to comprehend the heavens as the centaurs do." He explained looking down at Ebin.
Ebin nodded, "I completely agree, I have always thought that your astronomy teacher was a loud of crap," He's gaze returned downward, "But have you learned about the future and stars from.... er..." Ebin didn't know what to say. The word was childhood, but were centaurs ever children?
"Calthood." the centaur correct but seemed not to be to offended. "And yes. Know and interpreting his something we do in daily life. The information is there and we just use it."
Ebin was afraid his new acquaintance might leave, he looked back anxiously hoping to find Faye.

Faye, who was sure she had heard voices, made her way between the trees towards the noises. As she walked further and deeper into the forest, she heard two people talking, but could not make out who it was and what they were saying. Surprised that there were people in the forest other than Ebin and herself she made her way to the clearing. Just managing to muffle her scream she walked over to Ebin and what looked like a centaur with hands clasped around her mouth. Her wand still sticking out in her right she approached them cautiously. She didn¡¯t know what to feel. Relieved that she had found Ebin or afraid that they had encountered a centaur. She knew that centaurs were not very friendly towards humans and that the few arrogant ones even killed humans. Grasping Ebin¡¯s arm she opened her mouth to say something but no words came out. She managed a weak smile and muttered something like a ¡®hello.¡¯ The centaur looked down at her with a strange expression that she couldn¡¯t determine. Was he angry? Shocked? Or displeased that there was another human in their forest. ¡°I¡¯m...we¡¯re...sorry to have trespassed your territory. We uh...had hoped that we could meet...¡¯ She stopped. Should she say ¡®something¡¯ or ¡®someone¡¯. The centaur still gazed down her, and feeling rather intimidated she cleared her throat. ¡°Someone.¡± She said finally. ¡°Hi.¡± She said again, her hand still gripping Ebin¡¯s arm. ((no you are not powerplaying ))

Ebin looked over at Faye, how had just appear, confused on why she was grasping his arm he turned to her. "Hello Faye, nice of you to join us," He said with a reassuring smile. "He faced the centaur again, "This is Faye, a friend and a fellow student at Hogwarts." Noticing the same look that the centaur gave Faye he realized that he seemed to be thinking that there was an invasion. Ebin bowed deeply, "Thank you very much for sharing your wisdom, and as the stars sad, our paths may never cross again." He bowed again and turned to Faye, "You think we should be getting back?" He asked in a whisper.

"Yeah...we should be getting back." Faye nodded politely to the centaur. "Thank you for your hospitality. Ebin and I will be going now and won't be bothering you anymore." At that she attempted a tiny bow and steering Ebin away, powerwalked away from the place. "That was a centaur!" She hissed at him, surprised how casual he was acting. "We could have been in serious trouble with them." She added again in a whisper.

Ebin yawned jokingly, "No big deal. He was really nice." He protested having to almost run to keep up with Faye, "Why were you so nervous. He seemed like just a normal guy." He shrugged, trying hard to ease Faye's anger.

"Aren't you scared of him?" Faye felt slightly ashamed about how she felt. "Fine...I guess he was nice. But I just heard really nasty horrible stories about centaurs." She sighed in relief and went back to her usual pace. "And don't run off like that, I was really scared." She muttered, blushing slightly.

Ebin gave Faye a small side hug. "Hey, sorry, next time I will make sure you are by my side." He said with a smile. "I wonder if we will ever meet him again. He seemed very determined by the fate the stars set out."

"Hopefully we won't meet him again." She said determindly. "I don't think giving you a tour of this forest was such a good idea." She stated as she gratefully returned Ebin's side hug, wrapping her long arms around his waist like as if he was a teddy bear. "We should get back - it's getting really dark." She said, looking up at the semi dark sky.

Ebin frowned, "It was a fantastic idea!" He looked down at her and place his arm around her back. He shivered a bit, "I guess..." he said with a small sigh.
