Bridget walked in right after Darius and saw Blaise another new kid and Faye looking through books. Bridget walked over to the shelfs and pulled out a black lether book. 'the rise and fall of the dark arts'. Bridget sat down and opened the book to the first page.

Darius looked--"That's the Head Girl, Faye Muel, and then that's...I don't know." Darius tried to get a closer look, but the face was still unfamiliar. "I pride myself on knowing all students.." Darius scoffed inwardly at his own mistake, but then remembered that he still didn't know the name of the girl whom he had just escorted to the library. "I don't know your name," he reminded her, trying to sound polite.

Troy turned the page in her book and looked up at Darius. One side of her lip went up in a slight smile again. "I just said my name is Troy." She said flattly as she observed a diagram of the first greenhouse.

Darius noted her thin curl of a smile and grew embarrased at his little knowledge of japanese. "Oh, sorry. Well, nice to meet you, Troy. I like your name, by the way. Greek mythology is something that I am interested in." Darius pulled out a chair across from her and awkwardly propped his head up with his hand.

Troy glanced up at him. Her slight smile was gone. She turned a page in her book. "Yeah, well my parents chose the name." She looked back down at her book and read about how prunning originated.

Darius stared at the girl with curiosity for a bit, and then at her book. It was about the history of herbology, a topic that Darius thought to be less interesting than talking to one another. He became offended at her lack of interest, and quickley grew bored. So he stood up, muttered, "excuse me," to Troy, pushed in his chair, and walked over to Faye and the unfamiliar student. He patted Faye roughly on the back and beamed. "Hello, Faye. Congradulations on becoming Head Girl! May I see your badge? Is yours really heavy as well? Mine is so heavy that i've had to restrain from pinning it to my robes--it just tears strips out of them. So I have to keep it in my pocket!" In Darius' excitement he forgot to introduce himself properly to the boy, so he quickley stuck out his hand and blurted, "Darius Chide, Head Boy. Nice to meet you, and I enjoy the book that you're holding. Very interesting, although just the thought of the creatures in the wizarding world scares me to death."

Troy found herself alone. She didn't rip herself away from her book untill Darius' loud gradulation cracked Troy's beloved silence. She winced and slid her brown eyes away from her book to look at the Faye and the other boy.

Bradley walked into the library, his least favorite place in the whole castle. He spotted Bridget and some new girl. Bradley slid himself down next to the new girl. "Hey, I'm Bradley. And you are?" He said with a smile on his face.

Troy hated to be disturbed when she was reading a book, even if it was as boring as the book she was reading. "Troy." She said plaining, turning a page in her book: Chapter 3: The Life Style of the First Herbalist. She didn't want to encourage the boy to speak again.

"Troy? That is an awesome name." Bradley said. He pulled out his own book that Ashlyn had given him. He was now half way through. He opened the book and stared blankly at the page. "Whatcha reading?" Bradley said in a desprate attempt to start up a conversation.

Troy tilted the book in the Bradley's direction but her eyes never left the page. She hoped he would read the title on his own. "Why won't he leave me alone?" Troy thought to herself.

Bradley looked at the title, The Life and Time of the Ancient Herbology. Sounds horrible. Bradley thought to himself. "Is it anygood?"

She thought the title would give it away. Troy glanced up at Bradley and her lips almost curled into a full smile, his hair was ridiculous. She looked back down at her book and turned another page.
.:ooc: sorry I read the thread in the Great Hall. Why did you let her do that?:.
