Darius smiled and said, "Anglaise it is. What I said was, "I am happy! But the school is empty now, so I am suspicious. And no students means no responsibilities, which is dissapointing," Darius said downheartedly, then adding hastily, "That is not a literal translation, by the way." Darius gathered his knees up and folded them, then wrapped his arms around his kneecaps, gripping his legs to his chest. "It's boring here. I haven't had much fun, either. Most of the year I spent fighting Bradley, who then commited suicide a few feet in front of me. And you know all about Primrose," he blushed. "Plus, the quidditch season had to be cancelled because no houses had enough members. The only good thing i've gotten out of this year is you, really," Darius gave a small cough and then blushed, trying to hide the color by bringing his knees up to his nose.

"Ohhhh..." Faye smiled as she came to realisation. "Not a literal translation?" She shook her head. "Told you I was hopeless." While Darius wrapped his legs closer to his body she spread her cramp legs out and wiggled her toes in her shoes. She heard Darius expressing his current troubling mind and silently agreed. It was boring here now that everyone had left and it was true that the only good thing this year was having Darius as a friend. She saw him blush although he tried to hide it, and she too turned a soft red colour. Confused as to what her sudden rush of affectionate feeling for Darius meant, she turned away from him so he couldn't see her face. Instead she fixed her gaze on the lake and let out a content sigh. "The good thing though...is that it's quiet. Quiet and peaceful when nobody's around. I don't know...I like this feeling of solitude." She said finally, turning to face Darius again.

Darius felt Faye's eyes on his face. His cheeks were still red, and he was feeling very embarrased. He had never felt so uncomfortable in his life.
"I enjoy it to a point," he finally muttered, his nose still pinched between his knees. "At least there is nobody to judge you..." Finally he caught Faye's eye.
At that moment, he completely forgot all about any feelings for Primrose.

"I don't really care about people judg...." She fell silent as she met Darius' gaze. While looking into his eyes she suddenly realised how close they were sitting. Then, before she could stop herself, she leant forward and lightly kissed Darius.

Darius turned white, and then the brightest red. He gave a loopy grin, and when he reached out for Faye's hand, his arm felt uncoordinated and gangly. He grabbed her hand and blushed even harder. "I...I think that I like you," he muttered. Then he returned her kiss.

Faye felt relieved that he too felt the same way and had returned her kiss. But something wasn't right...feeling utterly frightened all of a sudden she pulled away from their kiss. "Wait...is this right? We're friends and..." She frowned and shook her head. "No...don't worry. That doesn't matter right?" She was worried that if their relationship didn't turn out right, they wouldn't end up being friends again. She gave a feeble smile and tightened her fingers over his. "I like you too." She muttered, blushing too.

But Darius let go of Faye's hand and then began to wring his own. "No, you're right....this can't happen, I mean, we have been best friends for a while and we can't do this, er, but otherwise, er, I don't know if we could pretend that we didn't just, er, kiss, and that we just held hands, er...." Darius stuttered. "We don't have to actually say that we are a couple, we could still just be friends who are, er, close, er?"

Faye was confused. She didn't know whether Darius was saying they should have a relationship or not - but ignore the kiss? How? She shook her head and forced a smile upon her face. "I just remembered something..." She muttered. She felt sick all of a sudden and Darius was alarmingly reminding her of Jake. "I have to go and do something." She lied, standing up. "I'll talk to you later about this." She said hastily, then walked away from the lake, hiding the tears swelling in her eyes.

Darius sat on the grass by the lake, blinking his bulbous, shocked eyes at Faye's retreating back. He wrung his hands again, this time furiously worried about the state of Faye. He knew that he had very few people skills, and he knew that when he was ever caught up in emotion they took an even furthur dip into the realms of socially retarted. His first kiss had been fine, but Darius had never thought that the afterwards would be so stressfull, and, now that Faye had left him, dissapointing. By her leaving in such a rush, Darius felt like it had put both a damper on both their would-have-been...something (whatever it would have turned into, Darius didn't know), and their friendship. He sat on the grass, wringing his hands and his hanging his head, thinking that very thought.

Faye didn't want to talk to anyone right now. She didn't feel all too well and she struggled to hold her emotions in as she made her way to the entrance hall. Feeling slightly dizzy by the rush of emotions she tried to push aside her stubborn memories and face the current situation now...Darius. What was to become of them? She desperately wanted to try out a relationship with her best friend but something was stopping her...Jake. Confused whether to mix her past with Darius, she gave a loud sniff and shook her head. All she wanted to do now was to sleep it off.
