"I'm fine..." Darius said, wary of her friendliness. Didn't they just finish a row? Weren't the two of them on bad terms? Darius hoped that they had vanished from her mind along with Bradley, because Darius was lonley, and his prefect badge was not enough to keep him content.

Ginny smiled "I wanted to tell you I'm sorry about the way I treated you. I just got so caught up. I hope we can be friends. You'd forgive your mom wouldn't you " Ginny started laughing.

"Yes, but..." Darius smiled against his will. "Yes...I would. I still don't know what happened that day," Darius mumble bitterly. Darius offered Ginny his hand. "To a new Darius!"

Ginny smiled and shook Darius' hand "To a new Darius and a new Ginny. Let's just forget about that day I want to. " Ginny smiled she was feeling better

"You have no idea how much I want to forget it as well," Darius moaned, subconciously rubbing his temple. "Well, I'm going to get a glass of water. Do you want anything? I've got a lot of spare change right now."

"Tell me about what?" Darius asked suspiciously as he got the two drinks from the bartender and pushed three sickles across the bar. "Tell me what you do? What happend that I don't know about?"

"You mean kissing me?" Darius recalled a friendly peck from Ginny. "That wasn't awful. I MEAN er..." Darius imagined smacking himself on the forehead. "What I MEANT was that it wasn't your fault that we got into the fight, I had it in me all along. I was going to do it anyway," Darius crowed, inflating his chest with pride.

"Ya the kiss. I know I'm a bad kisser that's why he hit you." Ginny smiled " I didn't know it was going to get you hurt. I wouldn't have done it if I did." Ginny still felt like it was her fault. Darius was cool she should have gotten to know him before she chose Bradley.

"I don't think that's the reason..." Darius guessed. "Just pure hatred, on our part. Did Bradley ever tell you why we hate eachother? It's really stupid, actually, but it turns out we were both the type to hold grudges."

"No he didn't. I didn't know to much. " Ginny felt stupid for even talking to Bradley.

"Oh," said Darius, shocked at how little Ginny knew of Bradley. "It's quite a long story, if you have time I could..." ooc: I don't want to post it now because I am going to get off soon and it really IS a long story.

"Well, it started with a girl named Lyra. She's dropped out of school by now, but she used to be quite popular. Anyway, I was standing right next to her when she fainted, for no apparant reason. Just then a hufflepuff prefect (not Faye) saw me standing next to her. He assumed that I had cursed her and ordered me to take her to the Hospital Wing or face a detention." Darius sniffed with disagrement, and continued. "I had forgotten the reviving spell in my haste, so I had to drag her from the border of the forbidden forest all the way to the whomping willow before anyone saw me," Darius sighed. "The person who saw me was Bradley, who had just appeared out of the secret passageway of the tree's trunk, and he was extremley suspicious of me, and immediatly began to hurl insults at me. I, who was at my wit's end, grew offended and began to threaten him with detention, and also began to worry about what the teachers would think if I dragged in a dead-looking girl. I said my fears aloud, and Bradley took my panicking to be weakness, and shouted at me. Then he revived her, and asked her for the true story. However, the girl, upon awaking, was extremeley dilusional from her long period of unconciousness, and could not tell us anything at all. So Bradley stole her from under my care and ran to the Hospital Wing. There he continued to insult me and question my authority, untill we were locked in a shouting match. I guess we were both too stubborn to back off and realize how daft we sounded. That's really how the grudge started. Idiodic, but then all grudges are idiotic," Darius muttered thoughfully. "It's not a very interesting story for such a powerful hate, but then there seem to be no reason for hate on any other occasion. I only wish I would follow by my own rules, often times I'm too thick to listen to my own philosophy." Darius picked a large ball of lint off of his sleeve and cleaned out his mind with a deep, voiced sigh. "It was still fun to kick Bradley, though. I won't do it anymore, but that was fun to beat Bradley in something for once," Darius admitted with a weak smile.
