Ashlyn pushed through the old door of the Hog's Head, stepping into the dingy place. Smoke clouded her senses, the lingering scent of stale alcohol creeping into her lungs. She pushed that all aside, and took a few more bold steps into the room, glancing back to see where Bradley had run off to. She sat herself down at a table and rested her head on a propped up hand, running the other through her hair and tasting the remnants of her prize sugar quill in her mouth.

Dante stepped into the pub after losing himself within the small wizarding community multiple times. It was his first time to Hogsmeade... his first attempt at being social. Not that being social was all that important to him, but he figured that having friends couldn't hurt. After all, he was mainly interested in having a good conversation.

Ashlyn glanced up from the table at the sound of the dim bells ringing dully as the pub's door was pulled open once more. Instead of seeing Bradley, she saw a boy she didn't recognize with roguish hair and astonishingly blue eyes. She wondered if she should be brave and introduce herself. It wasn't in her nature, but she could always try and be flexible.

Dante glanced around the room, stopping short at the sight of a shy looking girl sitting alone at one of the tables. He wasn't really sure what to do, assuming that she was a fellow Hogwart's student. So, walking into the pub, he sat himself at the table somewhat next to hers in hopes of sparking some form of conversation... maybe even earning him his first graze at civilization since he arrived. He sighed, twiddling his thumbs slightly, before leaning into his chair and trying to soak in the atmosphere of the cold little bar. He liked it. It had character.

Ginny walked in to the bar hopeing she could find Ashlyn. She saw her sitting at a table by her self. " Hya Ashlyn can I join you?" Ginny walked closer to the table.

She noted that the two of them were sitting in complete silence, save for the grungy bartender who was digilently smearing the dirt and grime deeper into his cups. Finally, Ashlyn couldn't handle dutifully ignoring the lost-looking boy any longer. Hopping off her stool, she padded over to his table and placed herself directly across from him. "You're new at Hogwarts, aren't you?" she asked. She extended her hand. "I'm Ashlyn," she said with a smile. "I'm in Slytherin."

Ashlyn saw Ginny and smiled. She waved her over to the table. "Hey Ginny," she greeted.

Dante smiled back at her, clasping her hand with his. "Dante," he said, by way of greeting. "It's nice to meet you." Up close he could see that the girl was really beautiful, with deep brown eyes and a generally pensive air about her. He liked people like that. "Forgive me for stereotyping, but you seem much too nice to be in Slytherin. From what I've heard, that is."

"Oh, well, we aren't all as horrible as you may think," she said with a smile. She then turned to Ginny. "This is Ginny. Ginny, this is Dante. He's a new student at Hogwarts," she explained, somewhat unecessarily.

Ginny sat down "Hi Dante. I know that there are 2 good people in Slytherin." Ginny giggled and winked at Ashlyn. Turning back to Dante she held out her hand to shake Dante's hand. "I'm from Gryffindor"

"No, I suppose you're right," he said. Ashlyn's smile was somewhat mesmorizing, and he found himself having to look elsewhere so as not to lose his mind. He instead turned to Ginny. "It's nice to meet you Ginny," Dante said, extending his hand once more. She also seemed to ooze with this sense of niceness. He hoped all of Hogwarts was so easy going and friendly.

Bradley walked into the Hog's Head and breathed in the atmosphere. Bradley smiled and looked around the dark pub. He spotted Ginny, Ashlyn and some new guy. He walked over and sat down next to Ginny. "Hey, sorry I'm late. I had to get a present for my mom, it's her birthday next week." Bradley put the bag on the ground and turned to the new guy. "I'm Bradley, I'm in Slytherin. And you are?"

"Dante," he said, leaning back against his chair. "Don't know what house I'm in yet... they haven't sorted me." Ginny had asked him what he liked about Hogwarts so far, but he hadn't been there for a very long time so he thought about if for a minute. "I don't really know what I like about Hogwarts. There's just something really enigmatic about it, what with all these hills winding around and the dark lake at it's feet and the torches on the walls, and the ivy in the courtyards. It's all very fantasy-like. I'm still in a daze." Ashlyn was still smiling, and it was becoming infectious. He smiled lightly back at her.

"I know... the castle seems straight out of a story!" she said, falling back into her own musings once again. Dante returned her smile, which made her blush slightly.
