She was tired. Subtle sleep lines had crept beneath her eyes and a cloud of grogginess consumed her mind.
Ashlyn stepped in through the large double doors of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, a dazed expression on her face. So long a time since she had been within its warm confines... so long a time since she had felt so at home.
She sighed. "I'm back," she thought. Noting the many students scuttling by that she didn't know, Ashlyn felt her heart sink. It would take quite a bit longer for her to settle back into the bustling school life, after all.

Bradley was walking through the hallway. It was his first week back and he spotted someone familiar. "HEY! ASH!" Bradley walked over. "Man it is nice to see someone that I know for once. What's been going since I left?"

Ash was slightly taken aback by the sudden loud voice erupting near her left. She turned and was met by the cheery, familiar face of Bradley Huggins. Smiling brightly, she took in what he had asked.
"Brad! Oh... I actually just returned myself. I've been in Italy, with my mother...," she said awkwardly, suddenly remembered all that she had once felt for the boy. She sighed under her breath, shaking off the thought. "How are you? It's been a while!" she said.

[it has been a while because there was this HUGE plot about Bradley Dolohov not Huggins...]
Bradley shrugged, just happy to see a familar face. "I've been... er..." Bradley didn't want to say an evil Death Eater serving the Dark Lord and being is loyal follower killing innocent people... so he just said this instead, "busy. Hogwarts is a nice change." Bradley sighed as he looked around. "Wanna go somewhere? Standing in this busy cordoor is... er... loud!"

Ashlyn smiled slightly. There was something different about Brad. Something in the way his eyes seemed hollow, devoid of the compassion they used to hold... even the way he stood before her seemed to carry a new air. She wanted to see him and catch up, she really did... but, part of her feared him in a strange way. His presence had become... randomly imposing.
She brushed it off as nothing. "Of course," she said. "Do you want to go out onto the grounds? I've missed the lake quite a bit...", she muttered, shrinking slightly as more people pushed past her. Their shoulders against hers were like ice... she had yet to get used to people.

Bradley bowed mockingly and held an arm out for Ashlyn. "To the lake then?" He said smiling. Bradley was having a good time back at Hogwarts. It was completely different then being stuck in hiding and treated like an animal. Brad was only 16. If being a Death Eater had taught him anything it was that he should enjoy the little care free youth he had left.

Ashlyn smiled, curtsying, and took Bradley's arm.
"To the lake, indeed," she said. She continued to glance about. People were bustling everywhere... life had continued full-force within the castle while she had been gone. She felt a small stab of regret as she wondered what it was she had missed. She glanced at Brad before settling her thoughts, telling herself she'd worry about it all later. Right then was a chance for her to catch up with the past.
((... Meet at the lake, yes?))
