Faye waited anxiously for Darius at the far end of the library, tucked away from public view. She couldn't help feel regretful at her suggestion of meeting Darius just two days after the lake incident. Nibling her right thumb nail she calmed herself by counting backwards from ten to one in french. She just knew she had to get this off her chest and tell Darius what her abrupt reason for leaving him was, but she was afraid that he wouldn't understand and that was what was worrying her.

Darius stood outside the library's archway, and took a deep breath. He had shown up a few minutes tardy, and he hoped Faye would not be sore at him for it. She had seemed rather touchy lately.
But nonetheless, Darius had dressed himself in his nicest clothing hoping to prove to her that he did care about their....odd, relationship, be it friendship or....romantic.
He took a step into the library, and spotted Faye in a dark corner of the room, biting her thumbnail nervously. He timidly walked over, and silently took a seat, averting his eyes to the table. She requested me here, so she probably should speak first, Darius reasoned with himself. He fretted that his silence would anger Faye, but still held his tongue back.

"Hey." She said softly. "Listen, I'm really sorry about before. It's just...it's not the fact that I don't trust you. It's just that. I have difficulty trusting people when it gets to that level." She stopped herself - was she making sense? Letting out a small sigh, she looked at Darius and stiffled a wide smile. He did look especially dashing now that he spent time in dressing up and she was in a way comforted that he did care about how he looked to her.

Primrose swept into the library.
She noticed Faye and Darius were sitting rather close...
"Darius!" she called out, not caring that she was obviously ignoring Faye "I'm baa-aack! Italy was just incredible. I didn't bring you anything, sorry, but I was just too caught up with- you know- everything. So. What's been going on in this dump lately?" She smiled craftily and gave a quick glance up at Faye. Suddenly, here eyes narrowed, and she sniffed the air, her face contorting in anger.
"Is that cheap perfume I smell on your robes, Darius? Cheap, GIRLS perfume? The noxious scent of only one as stupid as Faye would wear??!!"
She took a deep breath.

As soon as Primrose swept into the library and cried out in her usual voice, Faye cringed inwards and groaned. She couldn't believe Primrose's timing and suddenly realisation dawned upon her. Things weren't going to work out between her and Darius and she sighed, ready to exit the library.

Darius looked from Faye to Primrose, his heart frozen with panic. He stared at Primrose for a while, and after silently deciding he turned away, closing his eyes with grief. He laid his head down on the table and moaned, "Go away, Primrose...."
Under the table Darius made a motion with his hand as to grab Faye's, but then decided against it. So he just clasped his hands together and hung his head.

What stopped Faye from walking out the library, was what Darius had said. Surprised that he wasn't jumping up and down and was excited to see Primrose back at Hogwarts she decided to stay and give the moment a chance.

Primrose narrowed her perfectly makeup-ed eyes, and gave an evil sort of half smile.
"What did you just say to me?" she hissed softly, leaning in close so her hair brushed against his bony shoulder.

Darius felt her so close and whined something inaudible, burying his head in his arms. He didn't want to say that he fancied Faye....Darius feared that if he did both girls would both storm out. Darius squeaked fearfully, tongue-tied.

Faye knew that Darius was struggling and secretly wanted to tell him that everything was fine, but she held it back and watched Darius. She was confused why he didn't just say to Primrose what he felt and if it was going to offend her, she'd basically know without being lead on by false feelings.

Haden thumbed through the pages of an old, clearly worn book. Out of the corner of his eye he caught sight of a gorgeous girl with long blonde hair and a nice body. "Daaaaaaamn..." he muttered under his breath. He'd heard all about this girl, yet never caught a glimpse of her. He was entranced. He ran his fingers through his hair, flexed his arms, and walked towards her; his dashing, pretty boy smile spread across his perfectly proportioned, tan face. With a swish of his blonde hair, he was behind her.

Darius looked up at the pretty face behind Primrose, and then sighed. Darius wished that he could scrape up enough confidence to do anything remotely intriuging. Otherwise, he was definetely going to lose Faye, now that she had that old friend, Ebin.
But now that Primrose was occupied with the boy, Darius leaned closer to Faye and managed, "It's fine, Faye, you don't have to--never mind...no, you don't have to decide anything...i'm sorry, goodbye," before he stood up and nervously walked out of the library, mulling over panciked thoughts, which all had to do with Faye and Ebin.

"Wait! Darius..." Faye called after him as he walked out. She left the new boy and Primrose at the library and rushed over to catch up with him. She gently grasped his wrist and turned him around and gave him a hug. Holding her emotions in as best as possible, she whispered in his ear, "I'm sorry...can we make this work?"

Primrose realized that someone was behind her- not because she heard him, but because she smelled him.
He was wearing something french...something classy...something- nice.
Classy
She thought, turning to face him.
And if he looks as good as he smells, well...
She gave him one of her biggest smiles, pushing her hair out of her face with perfectly manicured hands.
"I'm Primrose. Pleased to make your aquaintance."

Darius was horribly confused as Faye hugged him. She had been cold a few minutes ago.... but nonetheless Darius accepted it, although he did not return it. He looked at her sadly and thought of Ebin. "I would like to sort this out..." he said hopefully.
