Professor Sprout was proud of her last lesson. Most of her class had received excelling grades and it really showed that they were understanding the subject of Herbology better than they had when they first began. Today the class would be learning about Bubotuber Pus, this had to be one of Professor Sprout's favorite lesson. Once the class had arrived she began speaking. "For those who haven't been told, today we will be learning about bubotuber pus. Before I start the lesson I want to ask one question. What is bubotuber pus used for?"

The bubotuber Pus comes from the english word (Bubos) that means inflamed, swelling. It has something to do with boils and tender swelling, well I think. It has characteristics of infections, I am sorry I could not explain it better

Skye listened as the two students went on in their explanations about the pus(or was it a plant?) that they were talking about. She really wished she had the slightest idea what they were talking about.

Lyra stood in the crowd of students all looking at Prof. Sprout. She had remembered too late what Bubotuber was and so two students she didn't recognize had already explained it. She continued listening. This was going to be an interesting lesson!

"Nice Job Fleur!", said Professor Sprout "5 points to Hufflepuff, let me finish Fleur's answer. The bubotuber pus can be highly beneficial for your skin, but also very risky to use!", she took out a jar full of the pus that she had collected over the days. "If this pus is watered down, the it can be very usefull as a sort of acne cream, but if the pus is left undiluted then it can have horrible effects on the human skin. Boils and rashes start to pop up out of nowhere, it is truly an awful site!", She said as she distorted her face with disgust. She reached into her desk which was full of squirming black slugs. She started to put her hand in. "Oops I forgot to put on my dragon-hide gloves!", she said "Everyone make sure to put yours on unless you want to have great throbbing boils on your hand!". She giggled at her own humor as her plump chin moved up and down. She then reached in her desk for a second time. "This, my friends, is a bubotuber!", She said as she put the slug-like creature in a pot. The class sudennly began to fill with the aroma of petrol. "As you can see the bubotuber has thick, black, slimy skin which secretes a yellowish pus. Your job today will be to harvest the bubotuber pus into these jars. To collect the bubotuber pus make sure that you are wearing your dragon-hide gloves and put your jar under the bubotuber. Get as much pus as you can get! I'm sending the jars off to Stan Shurnpike!", she chuckled again at her joke about the Acne-Ridden Knight Bus driver. She began to pass out the pots with the bubotubers in them. "I will give you homework after the lesson and I will be patrolling the room incase anybody needs help!" she said cheerfully.

Skye put on her gloves. She loked at the thing in front of her grabbed it. She squeezed the plant and the liquid pus came out. She made sure it went into the jar then reached for a new plant. This, she thought, is an odd but at the same time wonderful stress reliever! As she squezzed the next slug plant thing, she imagined it with Otis' head.

Lyra put on her dragon hide gloves and got herself one of them disgusting plants. She took a jar and started squeezing the sluggish plant, making sure the pus that smelt like petrol dropped into the jar. After she had sueezed a few of the plants, she felt relaxed and happy, but she didn't know why.

So far Otis had enjoyed Hufflepuff classes alot. The teacher, Professor Sprout was very nice to him (part of the reason was because he himself was a hufflepuff) and the classes weren't boring. After slipping on his dragon hide gloves he began harvesting his pus. The room already reeked with petrol which made Otis rather sleepy. "I wonder how much brain cells were killing right now, huh Skye", he said jokingly.

Lyra was finished and there were no plants left. So she went to Prof.Sprout, gave her her jars and said:"Professor, I'm finished, what shall I do now?"

"Oh thank you Mrs. Woodendorf. You seem to really have a hand for Herbology!", she said as she took the jar full of pus out of Lyra's grasp and put it down on her desk. "You may go go up to the board and start your homework that is due on monday!", she said happily. Homework Due 5/2I. - What is bubotuber pus most commonly used for
- what are the risks of using bubotuber pus
- What are the characteristics of a bubotuber
- What are the procedure for harvesting bubotuber pus
- What does the word Bubotuber come from (thank you Fleur for this question)
II. Please write a paragraph on your understanding of the Bubotuber (You can still Roleplay in the lesson until I end the class)

Otis' face began to distort. Had he just heard a nice response from Skye? He was very suprised he had thought that she loathed him. After the suprising feeling had ceased Otis still found himself working with his bubotuber. It was secreting little to no pus at all and collecting the pus that came out once every minute or so was a whole different dilema in itself. His hand shot up in the air. "Uhh, Ms. Sprout is my Bubotuber dead?", he asked as he prodded the creature with his finger.

She went up to the board and copied the homework.

When she read the essay question, Please write a paragraph on your understanding of the Bubotuber, she paused for a moment. WHat did that mean? "Professor Sprout," she said. "I think I have a problem here. What do you mean by the essay question? What do you mean by 'understanding'? What are we to write about?"
