Draught of Living Death: This potion is one of the strongest sleeping draughts and therefore is called ‘Draught of the Living Death’. Since it depends on the dosage how strong it can become, it can last from one minute to several years and sometimes only one drop can make a fully grown person sleep a whole day. There are, however, people who didn’t wake up again after undergoing too much of this potion. This is why one should always act with caution when dealing with it. It comprises wormwood extraction and powdered root of asphodel and needs to brew for approx. half an hour under constant stirring. Side effects can be eternal sleep or rapid aging.
Forgetfulness Potion: This potion will make anyone who drinks it forget certain things. It is an (comparatively) easy potion as it is taught at Hogwarts in year one.
Exploding Potion: All you will need to make an Exploding Potion is erumpent fluid. It causes anything you use it on to explode.
Shrinking Potion: This potion will make animals and humans who drink it younger or shrink them. It is taught at Hogwarts in year three and amongst others contains daisy roots (which have to be cut into exactly equal pieces), shrivelfig (has to be skinned), caterpillars (sliced), one rat spleen and a dash of leech juice. After all ingredients have been added, the potion needs to stew a while before it can be used. If the instructions are not followed precisely it can become a poisonous potion.
Wit-Sharpening Potion:[7u] From the name of this potion I take that it sharpens the consumers wit, i.e. that it makes him/her somehow smarter or think more logical. The ingredients are grinded scarab beetles, ginger root and armadillo bile.
Wolfsbane Potion: This potion can abate the painful and aggressive effects of the transformation into a werewolf. If a person who was bit by a werewolf drinks this potion regularly a week before full moon, he/she still turns into a wolf, but keeps his/her sanity and can control his/her actions (i.e. he/she doesn’t turn into a werewolf). The potion itself is drunk hot and made useless by sugar.
Scintillating Solution: The effect of this potion is unknown. It is one of the potions taught in the ‘Kwikspell’ course.
Love Potion: You are not allowed to brew this potion at Hogwarts. It will cause the person who drinks it to fall in love with another person (or even an animal, it is unknown what it can be used on). One of the ingredients are frozen Ashwinder eggs.
Polyjuice Potion: Some of the ingredients needed are lacewing flies, leeches, fluxweed, knotgrass, powdered horn of a Bicorn, shredded skin of a Boomslang and (the most important) a piece of the person you want to change into, which is added last. When finished (but without the last ingredient) it should look like thick dark mud. The preparation takes at least one month, the potion itself after it has been drunken, however, only lasts one full hour. The transformation into another person by this potion is painful and unpleasant. It cannot be used to transform into an animal; if an animal hair etc. is accidentally put in as the last ingredient your appearance will partially change into the animal’s. This appearance will not change to your own again after an hour, but has to be looked after by a professional.

Name: Otis Greenly House:Hufflepuff
Draught of Living Death: This potion causes it's drinker to fall into a deep sleep.
Forgetfulness Potion: Pretty self-explanatory, it makes it's drinker forget important things.
Exploding Potion: First of all, the potion is most commonly injected into it's user. For it would be a bad idea to drink this potion yourself unless you were suicidal. After being injected into the person this potion explodes in their body creating quite a mess.
Shrinking Potion: This potion usually makes things shrink in size, but a skilled wizard can actually alter the potion to make things reduce in age.
Wit-Sharpening Potion: Usually, the drinker of the potion becomes very intelligent and witty. It increases the vocabulary of the drinker and makes them think more clearly.
Wolfsbane Potion: This potion is usually only taken by a person suffering from lycanthropy. If they take this potion it only turns them into a wolf, yet they still have control over themselves. Where as werewolves are blood-thirsty and destructful.
Scintillating Solution: I'm sorry professor snape, but is this some sort of trick question?
Love Potion: It causes the drinker to fall in love with someone. Unfortunately, drinking or manufacturing of the potion is currently against Hogwarts School Rules
Polyjuice Potion: It causes the drinker to look like a certain person. The potion wears off after one full hour. You must include a part of the person you wish to transform into.

Potions Homework
Draught of Living Death: The Draught of the Living Death is a potion that will put the drinker into an abnormally deep sleep. Among other ingredients, it contains asphodel and wormwood.
Forgetfulness Potion: The Forgetfulness Potion is a potion that makes one forget. The fumes of the potion may also cause temporary amnesia, or if one inhales large clouds of the evaporated potion, it may cause total amnesia.
Exploding Potion: (is this the trick question?) As far as the magical world is concerned, there is no Exploding Potion. However, there is an Exploding Fluid, which can be made in a similar way to potions. Once the fluid has been consumed, the drinker will explode, but little else is known about its effects on a human body.
Shrinking Potion: The shrinking potion makes objects it is spilled over shrink in size. Boasts a horrible list of ingredients: chopped daisy roots, skinned shrivelfig, sliced caterpillar, one rat spleen, and a dash of leech juice.
Wit-Sharpening Potion: After drinking this potion, one’s head is cleared. This potion may be helpful if drank before N.E.W.T.S.
Wolfsbane Potion: The Wolfsbane Potion is a potion that werewolves may take so they will be less dangerous in their wolf-phase. Very difficult to make.
Scintillating Solution: One woman wrote to the Kwikspell company thanking them for allowing her to finally use magic after taking the Kwikspell course (apparently she was born a squib). Because of the Kwikspell course, she is now able to make the Scintillating Solution well enough to make her friends and family envious! The Scintillating Solution probably makes things sparkle and glow.
Love Potion: This potion has been banned from Hogwarts because of its effects on witches and wizards; upon drinking it, the subject is enchanted and immediately falls in love with someone.
Polyjuice Potion: What it lacks in time (only lasts for one hour), the Polyjuice Potion makes up in its ability; to transform into any body you choose, as long as you have a small piece of the person you would like to turn into, and as long as the lacewing flies are stewed for 21 days!

Homework Form Below
Draught of Living Death: This potion puts the person who takes it in a deep sleep. It is a mixture of Asphodel with an infusion of Wormwood
Forgetfulness Potion: This potion makes the drinker forgetful
Exploding Potion: As long as you have Erumpent fluid any potion be an explosive potion.
Shrinking Potion: It is made of Caterpillar, Daisy roots, Leech juice, Rat spleen, Shrivelfig. It is an acid green color if it is done correctly.
Wit-Sharpening Potion: Scarab beetles, Ginger roots, Armadillo bile. This potion helps the drinker to think better.
Wolfsbane Potion: This potion helps the werewolf in it’s transformation. It keeps them calm and allows them to stay in control of there actions during the transformation. It is a very difficult potion to mix and Professor is one of the best at making it . It does not however cure the drinker.
Scintillating Solution: I don’t know
Love Potion: I don’t know much about these potion but that they are not allowed at hogwarts.
Polyjuice Potion: This potion is very difficult to make. It changes the drinker into the form of another. You have to take a little of who you want to change into to put in the final product. Hair is the most popular additive for this potion. This will only last one hour so for an extended period of time you will need to brew extra and drink it every hour on the hour. It takes about a month to brew. It is made up of Fluxweed, Horn of bicorn, Knotgrass, Lacewing flies, Leeches and Skin of boomslang. You need to stew the Leeches for 21 days before the potion is made and the Fluxweed needs to be picked on a full moon.
