Ashlyn and Bradley arrived at the lake, autumn sun setting the hills on fire with a golden glow only true to that time of year. Ash took a deep breath, savoring the crisp air and smiling brightly at the surrounding beauty. She had missed Hogwarts more then she had let on...
It was her home. Her sanctuary. Her safe haven.
The lake's water lapped at the shore, and Ash felt all dread and negativity flee her soul with the sound. Tedium tore through her as she listened to the repetition. The water, the birds, the wind. It was all so rhythmic. She plopped down onto the grass, savoring the feel of earthly comfort, and motioned for Brad to do the same.

[this title reminds me of Power Rangers. But I wouldn't really know because my dad said that these two little kids were killed because they tried to reanact a scene from that show. I was scarred for life. But then again I'm not suppose to see Disney movies... sh... don't tell my dad that when I was at this party I watched Lion King!]
Bradley sat down next to Ashlyn and sighed. He had always loved the lake. He glanced around the huge grounds. It brought back so many memories. He laughed to himself. "Remember Lyra... Ginny..? Bridget and her crazy family. I swear half the people at this school are related to her!" Bradley shook his head. Most of the memories were rather embarrasing but it didn't matter because he was talking to Ashlyn.

So many memories cascaded through Ashlyn's mind at the mention of those three drama-crazed girls...
"Wow... I completely forgot about them...," she admitted. She ran a hand through her hair and gazed out across the lake. "Whatever happened to Bridget? I kind of expected her and her massive amounts of relatives to still be here when I returned..."
She looked over at Brad and smiled. She had missed the grungy guy... but, she was curious as to what had happened with him since she left. He seemed more.... experienced. As if he'd been through life twice over. Still, she smiled none the less. His presence was comforting.
