"Thanks. And please don't burn my head, my mother likes my haircut," Darius said, taking his wand and pushing himself to his feet. He took a large breath and said, "Well, that was fun. Thank you for repairing my robes-this is the only other pair I have. I wonder if my other robes are still at the bottom of the pool," Darius said seriously. "They cost galleons, you know." Darius rubbed the back of his head. His fingertips were dyed brown with blood. "Maybe I should get some bandages. It doesn't feel very deep, although supposedly the scalp bleeds a lot, so we better take caution." Darius lowered his head in front of Poppy, in a sort of bow. "Could you perhaps bandage me, then? I can't see the back of my head well." As Darius leaned forward he lurched with woozyness. ooc: woozyness?

Poppy examined the wound. It didn't look too deep, but it was something that she had little experience with. This sort of a task needed a teacher's assistance. "Ferula..." she muttered, conjuring some bandages. "Listen- I don't think I'd be much help with these. How about we go ask Professor Koth for some help? I think teachers have to go through some sort of first aid training or whatnot. And about that robe- you could've used the Accio or Draught charm, but whatever...Let's just go get some help before the blood gets on your newly patched robes."

The look on Bradley's face started to relax. What am I doing? He sighed heavily and started walking back towards the DADA class. Bradley took out his wand and looked around. "Errr... so what are we doing." Bradley was tired but Otis looked like a nice guy so the anger in Bradley started to drain. "By the way I'm Bradley." Bradley held out his hand as if to shake Otis's hand. "Sorry if i can across as a mean guy."

"See? Yes, everything is fine, right Bradley?" Professor Koth said distractedly, twisting his head at word blood. He marched over, to see Darius tipping, and the back of his head bleeding quite badly. "Oh no. Ms. Sarrit? Did you do this?" He said, steading Darius with an arm. "Don't worry Mr. Chide, you will be fine in a jiffy. ferula!" As bandages flew at Darius' head, he turned to watch the class. A large majority of them were active, and most of the time they were throwing eachother through the air. "Excuse me, class! I can see most of you have had experience with expelliarmus, but please, don't throw eachother more than 20 feet, like Poppy did here. But 20 feet is an incredible feat, so let's give Poppy a round of applause, please." Professor Koth clapped his hands for a moment and then said, "And if you have not yet began to practice, please begin, for the second situation test is almost ready, and you are doing nothing more than delaying the class. Thank you! Now please, continue!"

Darius dully opened his eyes to see a mess of bandages wrap around his head to tightly suffocate him. He pulled cloth out of his mouth and eyes, but the bandages around his nose were too tight to pull away. As long as the back of my head is tightly wrapped, I shouldn't worry about breathing through my nose. Darius thought blurrily.

Poppy looked down glumly at the pile of unused bandages in her hand. The ones Professor Koth had conjured were so much finer...And although he had given her a compliment on her spell, she couldn't help but feel as though her success was bittersweet. See what your competitiveness got you into this time? What will happen later when a real duel occurs? What stupid thing will you do then? Turning to face the new professor, eager to drown out her thoughts in their next task, she stuffed her wand into her sleeve.

Professor Koth saw that the class had grown bored. "Time for the second situation test!" He shouted, waving his wand. "This test will show me how you well you choose spells when under pressure. This test might be considered dangerous if you do not know how to handle it..." Professor Koth smiled slowley. He circled around the students and stood behind the row of cardboard boxes that shuddered as he came near. "These boxes," he said with a sweep of his arm, "contain everyday objects that I have enchanted. In each box there is a different object, but each has the same motive- to attack. To complete this test with full marks, you must prevent the object from attacking, but at the same time try not to completely destroy it. You can only demolish your object if it is about to draw blood, or cause fainting." Professor Koth grinned at the students. "But don't worry. All of the object I have enchanted are easy to keep at bay, and most of them probably wont ever get close enough to you to even touch you." "I have enchanted objects that I found around the castle: a scarf, a fork, a balloon, a potted plant, a doll, a necklace, a shirt, and a wizard hat. Each of you, choose one, and begin. Oh, and please do this task individually." Professor Koth opened the lids of the boxes with a twitch of his wand. "And once you are done, your homework will be to write a detailed description of your fight. Please include any troubles you had, and the spells that you used. This essay will be due in a week, on the 13th of May."

Thinking quickly, Poppy dove for the doll. It had a sweetish looking face, and would've been quite cute, if it wasn't zooming towards her looking as deadly as a childs toy could. Poppy brandished her wand, and shouted the Banishing spell, her mind racing with ideas...

Bradley turned around and forgot about Otis. He saw an inisant looking fork on the ground that seemed as if it was crawling. This is Pathetic! Bradley thought. He looked down at the fork and stepped on it. The fork then jumped into the air and started making loud screatching noices. "CrAp!" Bradley yelled as the fork tried to stab him. Bradley jumped back and yelled the Blashing curse and the chard fork feel to the ground. Breathing heavily Bradley backed off and waited for some other people to try.

Ashlyn's shoes clicked against the stone floor of the castle as she ran towards the entrance hall, trying to get to Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her first class and she was already late! She reached the main doors, tugging the large things open before running down the steps. Her robe billowed behind her as she made her way down the grassy slopes. She could see the class before her, people running helter-skelter, pouncing on the ground and firing curses left and right. She cautiously approached the scene, running up to Proffesor Koth and tapping him lightly on the shoulder. "Umm... Proffesor? I'm so sorry I'm late. I saw the note on your door and headed out here, but I hadn't realized that I was so bad for time. Can I still participate in the lesson?" she asked, not knowing at all how to approach the teacher. She hoped he wasn't like the Snape of the Gryffindors or something of the sort... because then she'd be out of luck.

After the attack with the fork Bradley was cationous to try anything else but seeing Ashlyn running to class he tried to get into action agian. He spotted the fork on the ground he had just blasted and it was still moving. He yelled the blasting curse at the fork. The fork now looked black, burned and was smoking. The grass was burned around the fork and Bradley thought he has to harsh on the object. With Ashlyn now joining the class he ran over to talk to her. "Hey Ashlyn!" he called.

Caesar saw a glove come out of the box and jumped up on him. It started slapping him across the face until he yelled, "Diffendo!", The glove split in half and stopped moving.

Ashlyn turned at the call of her name and saw Bradley walking towards her. She smiled, happy to see a friendly face. "Hey Bradley. I didn't know you were taking Defense Against the Dark Arts... we have a class together now!" she said brightly.

"Um, Caesar, are you alright? My spell mustn't have worked...but that's no problem, because...EXPELLIARMUS!," she roared with a big grin on her face.

Caesar flew back his wand falling out of his hand. He quikly got up grabbed his wand and yelled, "EXPELL--IARMUS" He said while the spell was going, "Take that!"
